Electric is now the majority of new cars

Roughly 7 in 10 new cars registered in Denmark in 2026 are fully electric. The trend is a clean S-curve — slow through the 2010s, then a steep climb from about 2020 as range improved and the charging network grew.

The Tesla Model Y is a top-10 model overall

With over 50,000 on the road, the Tesla Model Y is now among the ten most common car models in Denmark — remarkable for a model that did not exist a few years ago. Tesla also has the youngest fleet of any brand, averaging just 3.6 years old.
